About the Journal

Gavel is the official student-run bi-annual law journal of the Bahria University Law Moot Society (BULMS), dedicated to fostering legal scholarship and promoting legal awareness.

The journal aims to provide law students with an accessible platform to practice and develop their skills in legal research, academic writing, and publishing. Recognizing that opportunities for scholarly contribution are often limited to postgraduate circles, or made inaccessible due to overwhelming jargon and technical barriers, Gavel bridges this gap by offering a student-friendly environment. It encourages healthy academic engagement, competition, and collaboration among students, helping them gradually build confidence and competence in scholarly legal discourse.

Contributions are welcomed from undergraduate and postgraduate law students, faculty members, and alumni of Bahria University Law School, with each issue curated around a contemporary legal theme.
